Chicken Avocado Wraps check every box!

It’s a healthier dinner (or lunch) that my family loves, it’s quick, and uses ingredients I always have on hand. I love that I can grab a rotisserie chicken from the store and have dinner on the table in 15 minutes. Plus, wraps are just fun to eat and don’t make you feel weighed down.

I strongly recommend pairing these with homemade flour tortillas. The tiny bit of extra effort makes all th difference for truly the BEST chicken wrap ever. You can make a batch of tortillas and freeze them for the future, too.

How to make Chicken Avocado Wraps

Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine lettuce, avocado, bacon, red onion, and chicken. Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl then pour over the other ingredients and toss to combine.

Wrap in Tortilla: Scoop some in the center of a homemade tortilla then wrap up your chicken avocado wrap and enjoy!

ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise, or use plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup milk, to thin sauce if needed
  • 5 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, finely shredded
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 8 to 10 slices cooked bacon, chopped (1 cup)
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion thinly sliced
Instructions
STEP 1
To make the dressing: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), dried basil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Use a little milk if needed to thin sauce.
STEP 2
In a large bowl, toss together shredded lettuce, avocado, red onion, bacon, and chicken
STEP 3
Add dressing and toss to coat evenly. You may not want to use it all.
STEP 4
Top tortillas with a large spoonful of the filling. Roll-up each wrap and secure with a toothpick if necessary. Enjoy!
Notes
Chicken: any cooked chicken will work, like rotisserie chicken, or grilled chicken. Or sub leftover turkey breast.
Make Ahead Instructions: Make the sauce ahead if time. Chop the chicken, bacon, red onion and lettuce a day or two ahead. Make homemade tortillas ahead of time.
