HONG KONG—Quarter finals were played for the HKFA Cup last weekend.

On Saturday (April 11) I-Sky Yuen Long took on YFCMD at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground, with the match ending in a 3-1 win for YFCMD. YFCMD opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Jose Munoz converted from Diego Folgar’s cross and took the 1-nil lead to the half time break.

YFCMD doubled their lead in the 51st minute when Kenji Fukuda headed in Lee Ka-ho’s cross.
I-Sky Yuen Long reduced the deficit in the 66th minute when Wellingsson de Souza finished from Yuan Yang’s cross, but YFCMD finished the scoring in the 93rd minute during time added on, when Fernando Pedreira finished after being released by a pass from Mamadou Barry.

On Saturday’s other game, Kitchee won 3-1 against Wong Tai Sin at Mongkok Stadium. Kitchee took the lead in the 42nd minute when Borja Martinez finished Christian Annan’s cross to take a 1-nil lead into the half time break. Kitchee doubled their lead in the 60th minute when Christian Annan released Emet Chun-wan to score. Wong Tai Sin reduced the deficit in the 70th minute when Aender Mesquita scored, but Kitchee got through to the semi finals with a 3-1 win when Christian Annan scored from Tsang Kam-to’s cross.

In Sunday’s (April 12) games, Eastern required 2 extra time goals from Dylan Mcallister and Giovane da Silva, completing his hat-trick, for their 5-3 win against Wong Tai Sin at Mongkok Stadium. Goals during normal play from Giovane da Silva (2) and Diego Moreira for Eastern were cancelled out by goals from Zhang Jun, Yoon Dung-hun and Fu Shu-sing for Wong Tai Sin.

In the day’s later game, South China took on BC Rangers at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground.
BC Rangers took the lead through Lai Hau-hei in the 18th minute, but South China fought back to win the game through goals from Lo Kong-wai, Chan Wai-ho and Chan Siu-ki.

Divisions
In the first division, Lucky Mile won 3-2 against Tai Chung, Yau Tsim Mong drew nil-all against Metro Gallery Sun Source, Kwai Tsing won 4-3 against Wanchai, and Southern won 2-nil against Happy Valley.

Metro Gallery Sun Source now lead the first division table with 60 points from 22 games, with HKFC second with 51 points from 22 matches, Yau Tsim Mong third on 48 points from 22 matches and Southern are fourth on 47 points from 21 games.

There were no matches in the second division this week. Wing Yee now head the second division after 19 matches with 50 points, Mutual are second with 41 points, and Kowloon City are third with 38 points having played one game less.

In third division matches, Rainbow Legend North District won 1-nil against KCDRSC, Ornament won 3-2 against Central & Western District, St Joseph’s were 1-nil victors over GFC Friends, Islands won 6-1 against Telecom, Fu Moon and Fukien drew nil-all, Tung Sing won 7-nil against King Mountain, and Lung Moon were 3-2 victors over KCC.

Tung Sing lead the division with 59 points from 22 matches, with Central & Western district second with 51 points from the same number of matches.

Yau Yee League
In first division games, Baker Tilly Spartans won 3-1 against French Kiss, GAS were 2-1 victors over Boca Seniors, The Store House Squadron drew 1-all with Wanderers, Peter Robinson’s last minute equaliser for Squadron cancelling out Billy Dulieu’s 17th minute drive into the top left hand corner of the net, USRC won 5-3 against Corinthians, Albion won 7-3 against Swiss XI, and KCC Dragons were 5-nil winners against Colts.

With 2 games remaining, Albion lead the table with 45 points from 20 games, KCC Dragons are second on 42 points, USRC lie third on 38 points, GAS 4 th on 37 points and Wanderers are fifth on 37 points. French Kiss are heading for relegation.

In second division matches, Antonhill were 2-1 winners over WYFC06, The Store House Hearts won 5-2 against GGFC, HKDC Mobsters won 2-1 against KCC Knights, HKU70’s won 2-nil against Azzurri and SFALO Oxford won 3-2 against ANP. CSOB and Interglobo Colloids play tonight Thursday April 16.

HKDC Mobsters now lead the division with 47 points from 20 matches, with HKU70’s second with 45 points, and the Store House Hearts third with 39 points.

In third division games, HKUSA won 5-2 against Green Cypress FC, University won 4-1 against Darts, HOB were 5-nil winners against Scorpions, Dynamo drew 2-all with Goal Visio, CAPS won 4-1 against Yan Po, and IES were 2-nil victors over White Youth.

IES now lead the division on 51 points from 20 matches, with University second on 50 points.

In the fourth division, Grasshoppers won 3-1 against Standard Chartered, Skyline were 3-1 winners against Youth Coaches, HKSS were 5-nil victors over Bapcoll, WYFC84 won 4-3 against Hung Art, Outward Bound won 2-1 against Friends of Barclays, and Rising Sun were 2-1 winners against Power 22.

HKSS now lead the table with 49 points from 20 matches, with Grasshoppers second with 47 points, and Powere 22 third with 46 points.
