We, the workers of Beijing Shougang (Captial Steel) Company Limited (BSCL), have for many years harboured strong disaffection towards the deeds of the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The atrocities include gunning down the patriotic students in the 1989 Tiananmen Square Democratic Movement, suppressing Falun Gong practitioners who believe in “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance” and the countless wicked activities of the corrupt CCP officials. However, we dared not speak out publicly though we were angry. We surreptitiously complain about the CCP but if we publicly express our discontent towards the evil deeds performed by the CCP’s officials, the party branch secretaries in BSCL will punish and fire us.
To be honest, as workers, we fear dismissal. Although we suffer all kinds of oppression at work, we can still earn a living. Hence we tolerate the suffering. However, what’s the result of our endurance? The misconduct of the CCP becomes more widespread and extreme. The crooked officials become increasingly corrupt. The poverty gap widens. Workers lives become progressively more difficult. We often see co-workers sacked, forced to resign or their contracts terminated. However if we continue to endure it by working harder today, we may still be fired tomorrow.
Recently, we heard the news regarding the Sujiatun concentration camp. Thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death. Their organs were removed and their bodies burnt while they were still alive. How savage and cruel it is and how inhuman it is! We can no longer endure it. It is beyond the limits of forbearance. Therefore we decided to join the hunger strike against violence in support of human rights initiated by attorney Gao Zhisheng. We also want to represent the Chinese people who are brave enough to resist this evil power. We have decided to begin our first 24-hour hunger strike at home and at the work place from 6:00 p.m. on March 26 to 6:00 p.m. on March 27, 2006.
We are using aliases to protect ourselves from persecution by the BSCL party branch secretaries. We have all read “The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” and published the declarations of relinquishing the three organizations of the CCP (the CCP, the Communist Youth League and the Communist Young Pioneers). We will use every means possible to reveal what has transpired recently, including the evil CCP’s persecution on Falun Gong, nine million people quitting the CCP, attorney Gao’s human rights, anti-violence activities and the spreading of “The Nine Commentaries”. Falun Gong practitioners call this clarifying the truth. Courageous intellectuals call this spreading “The Nine Commentaries”. By promoting the resignation of the three CCP organizations we hope to build a free, democratic country with legal systems. Other groups have taken the lead. It’s time for workers to follow.
We warn the evil party branch secretaries in BSCL. You earn twice as much or even several times more than common workers. However, you are puppets for the CCP. You deceive, oppress and punish workers. We will remember all your deeds. When the CCP collapses, we will not let you off. Of course, there are still good people amongst you. You should immediately publish a declaration of renouncing the party and return to us. We will welcome you. More than nine million have withdrawn from the Communist regime. Can’t you see that it will not be long before the evil party collapses. There is not much time left for you to make a choice.
We admire attorney Gao immensely. We will support him fully.
We protest against the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, subversive churches and dissidents. We protest against the CCP’s persecution of all democratic advocates. We ask the government to release all prisoners who have been unfairly incarcerated.
We protest against the CCP government’s attitude of turning a blind eye on the Sujiatun incident and ignoring the open letters attorney Gao wrote to our country’s leaders concerning Falun Gong. We strongly urge the government to investigate these matters and give all Chinese people an explanation.
We express strong discontent and protest against the corruption that is rampant in the wage system, education system, police and judiciary system as well as medical and health systems. The CCP government is currently indulging and supporting corruption. We strongly urge the government to deal with all corruption.
