Prince William and Kate Middleton fear that someone is inside the palace tracking their every move, according to a new tabloid report.
The news comes after the couple recently threatened to sue a photographer they said was harassing their 14-month-old son Prince George.
The couple said that the photographer was suspected of “placing Prince George under surveillance.”
The statement said that the royal couple “understand the particular public role that Prince George will one day inherit, but, while he is young, he must be permitted to lead as ordinary a life as possible.”
Now a source tells Life & Style that Kate fears someone even closer to the family is tracking their moves.
“She’s paranoid that someone inside the palace is leaking her secrets,” the insider said. “It’s her worst nightmare.”
The couple often interacts with security guards, maids, drivers, and other workers, meaning the list of suspects is pretty long.
“They’re trying desperately to find out who’s spying on them by giving out false information to different people,” the insider said. “If any of that information comes out, they’ll know who’s responsible.”
Another recent report said that the couple has vowed not to have a third child because of the pain Kate is in from the second pregnancy.
Kate had trouble with her first pregnancy but has become even more sick during the second one, suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a sickness that brings extreme vomiting and weakness among other symptoms.
“Originally, the couple had talked about having lots of kids–but hadn’t anticipated Kate enduring such a tough time,” a source told the National Enquirer tabloid.
“She was terribly worried Wills would be heartbroken–but he was touchingly sympathetic! Assuring her he’s happy with Bonnie Prince Georgie and the pending bun, he declared: ‘I never want to see you suffer like this again!'”
The report is unverified, though previous tabloid reports have indicated that the royal couple did want another child after this pregnancy.
Globe magazine reported in early August that Kate and William wanted three kids in about five years time.
They desired children close in age because both come from families that have just that.
Kate’s severe sickness prompted her to recently move in with her parents at their Bucklebury mansion, where her mother has been helping take care of her and Prince George.
A source told the Boston Herald that Prince William has been a pillar of support for his wife, doing everything he can to help her get through the pregnancy.
“It’s been so difficult, but she has all the people she loves around her,” the royal source said.
“William’s been amazing throughout all of this. He’s in constant communication with the doctors. He doesn’t like seeing Kate unwell and just wants her to get better so they can enjoy the rest of the pregnancy.”
