Prince Harry will visit the United States in May with his main focus being to support injured American and British troops.

The prince recently spent about five months as a co-pilot gunner on an attack helicopter in Afghanistan.

He will attend a Washington, D.C. exhibition on landmine clearance and visit the Arlington National Cemetery and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He will participate in several events related to the 2013 Warrior Games at Colorado Springs.

He will also visit areas of New Jersey heavily impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The prince’s work with charities such as Walking With the Wounded and Help for Heroes earned him an Atlantic Council award for “distinguished humanitarian leadership,” last year. He received the award during his last trip to the United States in May 2012.

His last trip to the United States before that was his Apache helicopter training in the deserts of Arizona and California.
