UK retailer GAME will be holding a promotional event with The Pokémon Company International on Easter Friday, April 4 to promote Pokémon X & Y, and the Pokemon Trading Card Game: XY expansion.
Players with Pokémon X can receive Magmar free upon request in all GAME stores across the United Kingdom, whilst those with Pokémon Y copies can claim Electabuzz. No purchase is required for this offer, but it is available for only a limited time
Magmar and Electabuzz first appeared within the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, and come holding a Magmarizer and Electirizer item respectively.
If traded whilst holding these items, Electabuzz will evolve into Electivire, and Magmar into Magmortar.
Pokémon X and Y have sold over 12 million units combined for the 3DS since going on sale in October 2013.
Also, free Pokémon TCG: XY special sampling pack available in store and while stocks last. All packs will include a special foil Pikachu card, plus one additional card from the Pokémon TCG: XY expansion. Like the Magmar and Electabuzz offer, no purchase is necessary.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game has shipped over 20 billion cards across 74 countries since its release.
