Details of the Super Secret Bases in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are out.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are 3DS remakes of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire for the Gameboy Advance in 2003.

As per the earlier version, trainers will get to explore the Hoenn region, a Pokemon world that is mostly land in the west and largely sea/ocean in the east.

There are plenty of differences between Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and their predecessors, however.

For instance, the players will encounter legendary Pokemon Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre, two powerful ground and water type Pokemon, instead of Groudon and Kyogre in Ruby and Sapphire.

Also, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will reveal the “heart of the secrets behind Mega Evolution,” which is the “greatest mystery of the Pokemon.”

Since Mega Evolution was only introduced in Pokemon X and Y, which is two generations after Ruby and Sapphire, the revealing of Mega Evolution in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire certainly is a new aspect of the game.

Another familiar-yet-different feature of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is the introduction of Super Secret Bases.

Previously in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, trainers could build Secret Bases in trees, bushes, and caves, as well as decorate them to their liking with Pokedolls and furniture. Trainers could also invite their friends to view their Secret Bases via a Link Cable.

Super Secret Bases in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire share the same concept, but offer a much richer experience.

Most noticeable is the change from a flat, 2D interface in Ruby and Sapphire to a 3D render in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. A Super Secret Base now looks much cooler, and definitely feels like a spot that trainers will want to put the effort in decorating up the place to make it more interactive and appealing.

Trainers can now make Secret Pals when they visit another player’s secret base. These Secret Pals can help trainers out with their own Super Secret Base, or even engage in battle.

With the Nintendo 3DS, link cables are history. In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, trainers will connect with the Secret Pals via StreetPass.

Finally, trainers can share their Super Secret Base to others worldwide by creating a QR code for their base.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is set to launch on November 21, 2014.
