The Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demo finally gets a release date, and a game tie-in Nintendo 2DS has been announced.

Nintendo will release the demo via GAME, Amazon, Smyth Toys, ShopTo and the Nintendo UK Official Store from October 15, 2014, according to Eurogamer

Wikia and Nintendo Life will also send out the download codes for the demo from mid-November.

Nintendo promises gameplay in the demo that trainers “wont experience anywhere else,“ as well as daily ”special scenarios” for trainers to accomplish.

Eurogamer notes that a “special, unnamed Pokemon Mega evolution” can be found in the demo, and that it can be transferred over to the full game when it comes out.

As part of the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire promotion, Nintendo will be making available two Nintendo 2DS colors, Transparent Blue and Transparent Red.

Clearly colored to match Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, the two Nintendo 2DS will be sold from November 7 in the United Kingdom, and will also be made bundled together with the game when it launches on November 28 in Europe.

The promotional bundles will come with a copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby or Pokemon Alpha Sapphire pre-installed for the Transparent Red and Transparent Blue 2DS respectively.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be out for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS on November 21 in North America, Japan and Australia.
