HUGUENOT—Located on 76 acres in Deerpark, Animal Manor Sanctuary is home to a family of cats, goats, chickens, a rooster, ducks, pigs, and a horse. The animals are cared for by the owner, Nancy Gibson, and animal manager Kim Capece as well as her fiancé Joe Davis, who live on the property. They have a handful of volunteers who come regularly but are always looking for more. Animal Manor Sanctuary will turn two this September and they have plans to expand. They are hoping to build two dog buildings that together can house up to 75 dogs, in addition to their cat building which holds up to 40 cats. They are not open to the public but invite people who want to see the animals to make an appointment.
