Papadom, or Dominic Gamboa, who founded the band Tropical Depression, is dead after passing away at age 48.
His family declined to release the cause of death to Philippines media outlets, requesting two days for privacy.
Papadom started his career as a member of the punk band Absolute Zero, then fronted the punk band Betrayed.
Later, he fronted ska band The Skavengers, where one of his most famous songs, “Hoy Juan,” was written and played, reported InterAksyon.
Tropical Depression earned Papadom his greatest fame. Well-known songs incude “Kapayapaan,” and “Aabot Din Tayo.”
