Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will raise the issue of British Prime Minister Cameron’s remark that Pakistan is not doing enough to counteract terrorism during his five-day state visit to Britain, according to AP.

Zardari arrives in Britain Aug. 3, his visit comes amid a continued storm of criticism from Pakistani army officials and Pakistani citizens who say the president should have canceled the trip.

Islamic militants took to the streets of Karachi, Aug. 1, demonstrating and burning images of Cameron, angered by the PM’s remark, according to the Guardian.

The Pakistani army allegedly encouraged the street protests, according to the report.

Many observers, according to AFP, say Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence suppresses militants within its borders while supporting the Afghan Taliban in their battle against NATO.
