Green Bay Packers v Kansas City Chiefs

Aaron Rodgers completed less than half his pass attempts for the first time all season as the Chief’s defense, under newly-appointed interim head coach Romeo Crennel, held the league’s highest-scoring offense to 21 points below their season average in winning 19–14 in Kansas City Sunday afternoon.

The Chiefs, after letting go of head coach Todd Haley earlier in the week, got a very good outing from quarterback Kyle Orton. The former Denver and Chicago quarterback completed 23 of 31 passes for 299 yards as Kansas City out-gained the defending champs 438–315 in total yards.

The Packers, averaging 35.8 points per game this season, were held scoreless until Aaron Rodgers found receiver Donald Driver for a two-yard touchdown reception to put the Pack ahead 7–6 with 8:04 remaining in the third quarter. Rodgers later ran in a touchdown with 2:04 left in the already decided-game.
