A horse with a flare for the dramatic became a viral sensation after a video of him was posted on the internet. From his antics, it’s evident that he doesn’t like people riding him. Thus, whenever someone attempts to get on his saddle, he pulls on a show-stopping performance by playing dead.

Meet Jingang, the lazy horse that has found an excellent way to avoid his job and bring joy and laughter to all those who have seen his antics.

A hilarious clip that was posted on Facebook in October 2019 shows Jingang hitting the ground every time anyone dares attempt to ride him. He seems to fall at the slightest hint that he may have to carry any extra baggage. For extra theatrics, he rolls his eyes while he flops out his tongue. To those who are unfamiliar with this, it seems like Jingang looks as good as dead! Except he isn’t. The rejected rider calls him “cute, but naughty.” Well … that’s one way of getting out of work.

When Jingang knows that the coast is clear and he’s sure to have fooled the rider, he slowly begins to get up from the ground. However, as he gets spotted and sees the rider chase towards him, catching his antics, he faints and flops to the ground once again.

In the clip, the horsemen seem quite used to this one-of-a-kind theatric. “He’s just playing dead,” says an amused man after an unsuccessful attempt at climbing the saddle.

At one point in the clip, Jingang is shown next to a fellow equine that seems to be more serious about his work. However, Jingang doesn’t seem embarrassed at all and continues lying on the ground and pretending to be dead, while his fellow horse mate looks and shakes his head in disapproval.

Unsurprisingly, as a video of Jingang’s funny attempts to avoid work hit the internet, users from all around the world couldn’t contain their laughter, and his antics made him go viral.

After it was posted on Facebook, the compilation of this equine’s dramatics received over 25 million views, 654,000 shares, and 88,000 likes.
The same video posted on YouTube racked up to 3 million views and over 3,000 comments from users applauding Jingang’s acting skills.

One social media user wrote, “one SMART HORSE. Have him just because he’s cute.” While another remarked that “horse is a genius, wish I could just do that every time someone I don’t like comes near me.”

A third social media user even thought that “This looks like a well-trained film/movie animal.”

Whether he may be trained or not, this horse surely has found a clever and genius way to avoid carrying pesky riders by pretending to be dead.
