Orange is the New Black Season 2 is getting closer to actually coming out, even though neither a premiere date or a trailer has been released yet.

Natasha Lyonne, who stars as former drug addict Nicky Nichols in the Netflix show, said that filming is almost done.

“We’re almost done, we’re two episodes away from wrapping the season,” she told Gotham magazine.

Cast members and others involved in the show have not leaked much information about the upcoming season, particularly the release date. However, some spoilers have come out.

An estimate puts the release date as sometime this spring, possible April or May.

Lyonne also discussed hot great the writing is for the hit show.

“It’s really funny and original stuff, great writing, great voices,” she said.

“Everything on that show is functioning at two levels at all times. There’s a real underbelly of suffering and pain. We’re people in prison who have this albatross of regret of making, at some point, a terrible decision that led us to be there . . . And Netflix feels like mavericks, there’s not restrictions and walls, they really just want to make the best thing possible.”
