Overnight my phone was blowing up with texts from people stranded in various cities around the country, delayed and missed flights, cancelled departures, long hours on the tarmac, too many rounds of drinks in the airport bar waiting for a flight that never takes off. We had all gathered for the weekend and many were flying back home.
