In 2019, the year before the trauma of the pandemic response hit, a fascinating children’s book appeared that broke the mold and became a huge bestseller. It is The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, by British author and illustrator Charlie Mackery. It is a picture book with beautiful script by the author’s hand.
