As hunting season begins, I watch the men around me prepare. Rifles cleaned, bows strung, gear laid out, freezers ready. Living on a ranch, surrounded by hunters and the rhythm of the land, I can’t help but wonder how many American men still know how to truly hunt and process an animal for food.
