My husband is in Mexico this week, back in the remote coastal village in Oaxaca where he was born, resting and reconnecting with his family. Meanwhile, here on our farm in Texas, the kids, our crew, and I spent the day hand-harvesting ancient corn: deep blues, greens, bright yellows, and reds that look almost unreal in the sunlight.
