Patty Greer lay down in a crop circle nine years ago and arose a changed woman.
What began as a mystical experience progressed into a scientific investigation of electromagnetic fields and other measurable properties of crop circles. Greer described her impassioned and purposeful investigation as “blending science and metaphysics to explain the crop circle reality.”
Greer was suffering from a physical ailment no doctors were able to successfully treat or diagnose. She'd been a musician for decades, but her hands were all of a sudden disabled without apparent cause. Her hardened callouses, which allowed her to pull sweet melodies from the strings of her harp, turned to open sores.
She later attributed her illness to mercury poisoning from dental fillings, but at the time she had no idea and sought alternative treatments when all else failed. This is what first brought her to England’s crop circles in 2006.
She had heard the region surrounding the ancient Avebury Stone Circle—where more than 90 percent of the world’s crop circles have been documented—described as a spiritually powerful healing place. With nothing to lose, she packed up and left on her own for a nine-week sojourn to see if the puzzling depressions left in fields of wheat and maize could somehow help her to heal.
She lay in one of the crop circles and thought she must have passed out. “I woke up knowing all sorts of things I didn’t know yesterday,” she said.
She had contact with extraterrestrials, she said. Once extraterrestrials are mentioned, some people instantly dismiss Greer. At first she fought fiercely to convince others. Now, she has two ways of approaching skeptics.
On the one hand, if they are respectful and take an interest in really listening to her experience and perspective, she will gladly take the time to explain and discuss the phenomenon with them. On the other hand, if they are aggressive or hostile in their rejection, she bows courteously, steps back, and says, “Well there you go!”
“I have no willingness to go into battle,” she said.
With her friends and family, it’s not quite as easy. She’s lost friends, she’s lost the respect of some of her family members. Her years of filming and investigating have also consumed a lot of her financial savings.
Greer said she left a comfortable life with a nice house, a nice car, the American dream. In the past nine years, she’s spent long, cold nights in damp fields and on the usual hillside overlooks where crop circles appear every year, waiting to capture the moment of crop circle genesis on film. This is called “night-watch.” Her website, www.PattyGreer.com, has been hacked and disabled multiple times, she said. She believes this is because she has successfully filmed the balls of light. She believes it to be an attempt to sabotage her efforts and any financial sustainability she may achieve through selling her videos.
After hearing that many people were unable to buy her videos through her website during the 2013 holiday season while PBS (Colorado CPT12 affiliate) was screening her crop circle movie constantly, she had a friend try to buy one to see what would happen. Eerily, she said, a 404 error appeared along with a quote from famed author George Orwell: “Speaking the Truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act” (It seems that Orwell was misquoted, as Orwell actually said: “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act”). She said this was the work of a hacker. She now asks people to directly email her ([email protected]) when they’re interested in purchasing or streaming her videos.
She made $9 in royalty payments the first quarter of this year. She believes the movie distributor must be hiding her movies from the market, as she receives thank-you letters from across the world daily, attesting to the interest in her work.
“Financially, this is the worst business decision I’ve ever made,” she said. “Socially, it’s also been a disaster with narrow-minded friends.” So why does she continue unabated? She believes understanding crop circle messages could be a key to free energy technologies that could liberate the world from the bondage of oil and gas dependency. She believes this phenomenon could help us understand how energies work not only in the area of crop circles, but also in the human body, in the production of food, and more.
What the Crop Circles Say
Greer said her impression after viewing more than 1,000 crop circles is that many of them depict propulsion technology; the images resemble propellers and other mechanical parts of advanced technology vehicles. She said the circles contain messages in the universal languages of art and math and if the right minds would analyze them, perhaps immensely useful information could be extracted.
This has already been done to a certain extent by the late biophysicist William Levengood, who conducted famed and controversial investigations of crop circles over the last 25 years. One of his assistants, who has not as of yet spoken publicly, is now ready to openly declare some findings that are astounding if they turn out to be true upon further review.
This assistant’s identity and her team’s findings will be revealed by Greer for the first time in a new film she’s creating with a Canadian TV producer. Greer will present some of these findings for the first time to an audience at the “Follow the Truth: The Conspiracy Show Summit” in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, on Nov. 16. The assistant is not a biophysicist, she studies consciousness (also an aspect of Levengood’s crop circle studies), but she was privy to the workings of the team. Though Greer would not yet reveal the woman’s name, she described some of the evidence the Levengood team discovered.
Over the course of 16 years of research, Levengood’s team purportedly reverse-engineered devices that mimic energy waves or frequencies able to create crop circles. The theory is that a crop circle is created by a plasma vortex. In a transcript provided by Greer of a conversation with Levengood’s lab partner, she explained: “A plasma vortex is like a tornado, a whirling tornado of different kinds of energies, maybe seven, eight, nine, even 10 different kinds of energies.”
The vortices often travel in counter-rotating pairs, she said, and they interact with the energy waves emitted from the Earth. She named some of the kinds of energies and forces in the vortices: “There are microwave energies, there are ion electron avalanche energies, there are thermo-gradients, there’s convective stability.”
Levengood also published articles in the peer-reviewed journal Physiologia Plantarium on the topic of crop circles, including one about the vortices and energy dispersion.
Devices Levengood’s team designed using their understanding of the energies at play in these vortices, according to his assistant, are said to have the potential to map the plasma in the human body, and to identify irregularities in that plasma. The devices are also said to have the potential to remedy those irregularities and thus heal many ailments.
The team also found that seeds from plants in crop circles often have a growth rate five times that of control seeds. The seedlings were also found to have greater resilience in some unfavorable conditions.
Greer is hopeful that these findings could help feed many. She said of these scientists: “I’m friends with—I think—some of the most important people in the world.”
A film producer whom Greer preferred not to name (but whom she said is prominent in the television industry in Canada) had a deep moment of realization. While investigating crop circles together in Europe this summer, the producer at one point cried and put her hands over her heart and said: “I finally get it—why this is so important!”
Greer said for years she operated on intuition alone. Some people find it a lot easier to accept science, which is why Greer has been happy to align herself with scientists over the past year, but she also feels intuitive understandings can make great leaps and bounds toward the truth.
Intuition
For example, while finishing production on her first movie, she got the sensation she often gets in crop circles—a tingling in her head, goosebumps head to toe, and a pounding heart. As she felt this moment of communion with those she calls “the Circlemakers,” she noticed a big blue orb on an unplugged monitor in the room. She suddenly told her editor, “back up that footage and slow it down.”
She was referring to the so-called “Oliver Castle footage,” a famous video clip of two balls of light hovering over a field and then laying a crop circle down in seconds. The video has been widely deemed a hoax, but Greer doesn’t think so. She included it in the video she was working on, “The Wake Up Call - Anybody Listening?”
When her editor, a little surprised, asked how much he should slow it down, she said without knowing why, “30 percent.” When he complied, they saw between the two balls of light a line of what Greer deems “a band of communication.”
Levengood’s partner agreed that this looks like a line of wave-interaction between plasma vortices. From her years of working with Levengood, her understanding was this: “I don’t believe it’s a glitch, not at all. The way that many plasmas actually communicate is through a series of on and off clicks. So that’s what that bar is, is a series of on and off, or [it can be compared to the binary code in modern technology of] zeros and ones, blacks and whites, bar coding, whatever you want to call it. And it’s just those two plasma balls having a moment of communication.”
The partner also said her team’s experiments have shown that human consciousness can affect plasma. Scientists such as Stanford’s Dr. William Tiller and Princeton’s Dr. Robert Jahn have shown human consciousness apparently has the ability to influence physical objects; the works of others in the field of quantum physics have also shown this.
Both Greer and Levengood’s partner agree that human consciousness, along with the Earth itself, are influencing the movement of this plasma and thus helping form crop circles. Greer said extraterrestrials are also influencing this plasma. Research continues.
Whatever the skeptics say, Greer is happy to do what she feels is good for the future of humanity—encouraging the development of alternative energy, and encouraging people to refrain from activities harmful to the Earth, which she feels crop circles warn against.
She’s also helping people who’ve reported similar experiences of contact with extraterrestrials. She said these people feel like they’re crazy and they’re scared to talk to their families or friends, but they feel encouraged when they hear her experiences and reach out to her. Instead of feeling anger for her hardships, she chooses to focus on compassion and evolution.
Greer said: “I have learned to listen to that small voice within which we call ‘intuition.’ I will continue to do my very best work to assist with the evolution of humanity which is more important than ever right now.”
Greer is looking forward to her appearance at the Follow the Truth conference next month. She was touched by a standing ovation at the 2014 International UFO Congress from an audience of almost 1,000 people after presenting 300 impressive images of crop circles in a 90-minute presentation.
