A shooting at The Cove student apartments near Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina has left one man dead, while police hunt for two possible suspects.
The school has asked all students and faculty to remain indoors and away from “The Cove.”
“Today around 3:25 roughly this afternoon, we were dispatched to a shooting here at The Cove,” said Lieutenant Selena Small of the Conway Police Department during a press conference. “Once we arrived on scene, we did locate a victim that has been shot, and he has died from his injuries.”
Small said they’re still conducting preliminary investigations and doing witness interviews.
“We do have one suspect in custody, there possibly are one or two others but we have to confirm that,” she said. “And when we get that description and confirm that information, we'll be able to get it out.”
