NY Citi Bike Program Reaches 60,000 Annual Members

NEW YORK—The city’s bike share program reached 60,000 annual members on July 17. An average of 876 people have signed up daily since the program launched on May 27.

An annual membership costs $95, plus tax. Annual bike share members get unlimited trips of up to 45 minutes, compared to 30 minutes for 24-hour and 7-day passes. An average of over 1,800 24-hour passes are purchased each day and 220 7-day passes are purchased daily.

More than 1.1 million trips have been tracked by the program since its launch, with nearly 2.5 million miles traveled.
