More rumors have surfaced that point to the Nexus 9’s unveiling next month.

Paul O'Brien, co-founder of tech website MoDaCo, tweeted that an “anonymous tipster” put the Nexus 9’s launch date at October 16.

Earlier, Portuguese website 4G News threw out October 8 as the date on which Google will unveil their latest tablet because HTC is holding a press event on that date for some products.

HTC has been rumored to be building the Nexus 9 together with Google.

In the absence of any official confirmation, an October launch does seem likely as Google did release the Nexus 5 smartphone on October 31 last year.

Furthermore, the Google Play Store does not have any Nexus 7 tablets in stock for all models at the moment, which suggests that Google is preparing to serve up a replacement device.

Indeed, the Nexus 9 may be Google’s worst kept secret as recent NVIDIA court documents from a NVIDIA-Qualcomm dispute confirm that the their NVIDIA Tegra K1 Denver chip will be found in the Nexus 9.

Here is a round up of rumored details of the Nexus 9 so far:
