A couple of photos of the Motorola Shamu have been leaked.

The first is a photo by a “Michael Sudol” on the XDA Developers forum

The Shamu looks very much like the Moto X (second gen), particularly in terms of shape and what looks like a metal rim.

Android Police have managed to track down a picture of the phone’s front.

Once again, the Moto S looks very much like the Moto X, and the “About phone” section displayed indicates that it runs the next Android build, the Android L.

PocketNow increased the brightness of the original leaked photo, and discovered a Motorola logo on the top left hand corner of the phone. Unless the photo is a fake, this small detail pretty much confirms the Shamu’s manufacturer.

The Moto S is thought to be the Nexus 6/Nexus X phone.

However, TK Tech News claims that the Moto S and the Nexus X are two separate devices, and that the Moto S was originally slated to be an Android Silver device.

Specs wise, earlier leaks reveal that the phone has the model number XT1100, with “XT” being the prefix of Motorola phones, and has either a 5.3-inch or 6.3-inch 2K display resolution, a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 with an Adreno 420 GPU, and has a 13 mega-pixel rear camera and a 2.1 mega-pixel front camera.

Sprint and Verizon are supposedly carrying the phone, and it is allegedly going to be unveiled at a secret Google launch event on Halloween 2014.
