Unofficial election results for the four open seats on the Newport-Mesa Unified School Board show two incumbents in the lead, while two newcomers are also poised to join the board.
According to results as of 5 p.m. Nov. 10, in Area 2, Michelle Murphy, a parent and nonprofit executive, leads Danielle Mills, a parent who works in the veterinary field, by 59.4 percent to 40.6 percent.
