As summer draws to a close, New Yorkers take a moment to reflect on their most memorable summer moment.

“We met a couple in a sandwich bar from Montana, one was a producer and the other a writer. They had created a film, ”Wolf.“ We went along to the opening, where they had a real wolf and then a Q&A at the end, it was memorable. We took them out for dinner after. It was great to mix with the younger generation.”

“There’s a few, we went away to the Jersey Shore. There’s a beach there, I took my family, it was nice!“

“We got on a bus with nothing in our heads to do that day… we asked the driver, how far do you go? … we saw all of Manhattan, everything from 3rd all the way up to the Cloisters. I'd never been to Washington Heights, and I was born here. There’s a lot to see.”
Rangarajan Calyanakoti, 39, software engineer, New Jersey
“I was chosen to volunteer with my kid’s language program, we had to put together a skit… I’m from India, I speak Tamil. For New Yorkers, everyone knows Hindi, each part has their own language though. There was a lot of scripting work, there has to be life in the story, and you have to have enough roles for all the kids to come on stage. We put in the Bollywood kind of thing, we call it Kollywood, for Tamil.”

“Roof top gardens and bars. Picnics in Central Park, playing Frisbee, flip ball, eating and having fun.”
