Several local media outlets are reporting the John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills, California, is on lockdown due to a mountain lion breaching the campus.’

A call to the high school prompts this voicemail recording:

“Thank you for calling Kennedy High School in Granada Hills. We are currently on lockdown due to a mountain lion on campus. Students are all secure in their classrooms, proper authorities are on campus to remove the animal safely. We will send a message out to parents keeping them updated, again please be assured that all students and staff are safe.”

Update: As of 5:30pm EST on April 15, the mountain lion has been tranquilized.
