Islam Defenders Front (FPI) members protested the coming Miss World 2013 beauty pageant in Jakarta, Indonesia, Tuesday morning. The pageant is due to be hosted by Jakarta September 28—the first time a South East Asian country has hosted the event.

No bikini contest will take place as a part of the pageant, earning the support of the local governor, according to Indonesia’s official tourism website.

Tuesday’s action was more than just a protest—it was a threat, according the the Jakarta Post, which reported, “The activists said they would do more than just rally if the Miss World event went on.”

More than 125 pageant contestants were due to arrive a month before the pageant to enjoy local beaches and sites.

The Sentul International Convention Center will host the event, located on the border between Jakarta and West Java.
