A Miami International Airport terminal was evacuated Wednesday morning as police investigated a suspicious package at a check point. The bomb squad declared the area safe and operations have returned to normal.
The alert at Terminal J occurred at about 7:30 a.m., reported CBS Local. A police dog sniffed out the package and alerted its police handler at gate 9 of the terminal.
Planes were moved away from the terminal, reported the Miami Herald.
