A new article purporting to present fresh information about the rumored romance between Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy actually uses old quotes.
The quotes were first published a few months ago.
Rumors about “Meryl and Maks” being together were a hot topic around the end of season 18 of Dancing with the Stars near the end of May, but gradually died down as it became evident that the pair would not end up together romantically. Both insist they are good friends.
Maks has increasingly been linked to other women, principally Jennifer Lopez.
Now a new article by notorious website breathecast--which regularly recycles old information--seems at first glance to present new information about the rumors surrounding Davis and Chmerkovskiy. Instead, it’s using quotes from months ago without noting how old they are, or properly citing the sources.
“Fans of Dancing with the Stars will be excited to learn that rumors about a romantic relationship have recently surrounded last season’s winners Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis,” the article claims.
In fact, neither have commented on the rumors for over a month, after answering questions during their interview tour following the “DWTS” win.
Maksim did announce recently that he won’t dance on the show any longer, saying that it would be difficult to find another partner on the same level as Meryl, who is an Olympic ice skater.
