A final farewell to Britain’s Iron Lady was held at the All Saints Chapel in the Margaret Thatcher Infirmary on Saturday. Margaret Thatcher opened the infirmary in 2009, reports the BBC. Following the service, her ashes were laid to rest in a solid oak casket next to those of her husband in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Her husband, Sir Denis, died in 2003. Thatcher died at the age of 87 on April 8.

Her headstone bears the simple inscription, “Margaret Thatcher 1925–2013,” reports the Independent

Chelsea Pensioners dressed in scarlet coats attended the ashes of the country’s first female prime minister.

A chapel choir sang a traditional Maori farewell song in honor of Thatcher’s connection to New Zealand.
