A man was captured parking behind a police van that was armed with a speed camera. He then lifted his trunk, obscuring its view.

The man, who was not identified, apparently noticed a hidden device on the back of a van and then blocked it by opening his trunk.

He then walked to the pub.

The photo was shot by a neighbor who noticed him and posted the image on Reddit and Imgur, describing the incident.

The person posted: “Someone just parked in front of a speed camera, lifted his boot so nobody could get caught speeding. Then went to the pub across the road.”

According to The Metro, the image was likely shot in Manchester, England.

The man was praised by others, while others said that he broke the law.

“The hero we don’t really deserve but it’s pretty great to have,” one person wrote, according to The Mirror. And another added: “I’m sure the people that live on that street really appreciate it.”

“When you drive a car like that you can afford the fine. Someone buy that man a beer,” wrote another.

Others said it wasn’t a great idea.

Said one person, sarcastically: “What a great guy! Nobody deserves to be forced to limit their speeds in a residential area where pedestrians & children may be around.”

Said another, “How about you don’t [expletive] speed instead?”

Quipped one: “In the US, we just shoot speed cameras.”
