A lot of time and money goes into planning a wedding, and there are so many things that you will have to do and buy. For instance, you need to have favors to give to your guests. Now, how many weddings have you been to where you see the same old favors (candies or mints)? Probably quite a few. There are many other interesting things you can give to your guests that they will actually like getting. For instance, you can find all kinds of great ideas for favors and wedding party gifts at My Bride Fairy. You can also make your own favors, which will make these gifts even more personal. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Signature Soda Pop

You don’t need to have a bar to serve a signature drink. You can have labels printed for bottles, and you can fill the bottles with your signature drink. To complete this gift, add a straw and a recipe for the drink.

Mini Pies and Other Baked Goods

You can give your guests bags of delicious sweet treats, such as home-made mini pies, cookies, brownies, and more. If you are doing the mini pies, don’t forget to add plastic forks, so your guests can enjoy eating them before they even get home from your wedding.

Customized Flash Drive

Now here is a gift your guests can really use. Give them a flash drive that contains photos of your special day, favorite photos, music, and more. Your guests will definitely plug it in to see if they are in any of the photos or videos. If there is space left over, they can use the flash drives for their own stuff as well, or they can download the content from the drive to their computers and have the flash drives to use for other things.

Home-Made Granola

Get some cute bags and create your own munchies mix for your guests. Add things like nuts, raisins, and little chocolates, or create a salty mix that has pretzels and other treats. Label the bags accordingly so your guests can choose the treats they like best.

Regional Treat

Offer a treat bag that is loaded with regional goodies, such as locally baked sweets, or even local crafts. If you live by the sea, add a few seashells to the goodie bags. You can get really creative here, and not just with the actual gifts. Make the bags from old area maps for something neat and different.

Charitable Gifts

Instead of giving away gifts, why not donate to charities instead? Your guests will love it if you make a donation in their name, especially if you allow them to pick their own charities. Provide them with tags that they can keep, as well as tags they can fill out to let you know which charity they would like you to donate to.

Retro Rounds

Get some of those containers you find in bubble gum machines, and fill them with fun treats. Add labels to give these gifts a finished look.

DIY Hot Cocoa

If you have a winter-theme wedding, this is an ideal favor. Get cute mugs, and place bags inside with all of the ingredients for delicious cocoa. Make sure to include plenty of marshmallows. You can also get plastic spoons, and dip the bowls in chocolate, to complete the favors.

Tea Lovers Souvenir

This is a lot like the hot cocoa gift. But, instead of a mug, use a fancy teacup, and add a package of loose gourmet tea. Add a honey stirrer to finish the gift, and place everything together in a cute bag.
