Luis Avalos, perhaps best known for “The Electric Company,” is dead at 67.
Avalos joined the television series in its second season and stayed with it until the series wrapped up in 1977.
He appeared on screen in the series with stars such as Morgan Freeman, Rita Moreno, and Bill Cosby.
He’s considered a pioneer in the acting industry for Latinos, reported La Opinion.
Avalos later had minor roles in a number of television shows and movies, including “The Jeffersons” and “Hot Stuff.”
