Heavy rain has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood emergency for four counties in New Mexico on Friday morning.

“At 11:35 am MDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to indicate a thunderstorm producing flash flooding over the warned area,” said the service.

The counties are east-central Sandoval, northwestern Santa Fe, extreme south central Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos Counties.

Locations in the warning include but are not limited to Bandelier National, Santa Clara Pueblo, Espanola, White Rock and Los Alamos.
