Liv & Maddie on Disney has already been renewed for a season 2.
‘Liv and Maddie has quickly become a Disney Channel fan favorite and our viewers have connected with Dove Cameron in her dual role, as well as the rest of the Rooney family. Season two will continue to make families laugh with relatable and engaging stories," said Adam Bonnett, executive vice president of original programming at Disney, in a statement.
Production on the show was slated to resume in Los Angeles this month and season 2 is slated to premiere sometime in fall 2014.
The show has been a ratings hit, ranking at televisions number 1 telecast in its time period across major youth sets.
The show followers 16-year-old identical twin sisters--Liv, a Hollywood star who has returned home to Wisconsin, and Maddie, a hometown basketball star.
Their younger brothers Joey and Parker, and parents Karen and Pete also feature prominently in the series.
