Everyone thinks they have the best ideas for how to advertise products whether or not they have any training. Companies often consult customers on new ways to package and present products, even getting help with branding as Manchester City’s soccer team did a couple of years ago, asking fans what kind of website they wanted their team to have.
But sometimes there are just too many ideas to fit in one ad and have it still make any sense. This was proven a couple of years ago when Nissin, the Japanese company that pioneered ramen cup noodles, showed its loyal customers exactly what would happen if a demanding client’s wacky suggestions were all shoved into one ad! They posted a series of “edits” on Twitter requested by a very demanding boss that had people cracking up.
