Most of the times you think of Volkswagen, you imagine a compact vehicle like the Beetle or Golf, but the Atlas Cross Sport changes all that. This is the smaller 5-seater sibling of the three-row Atlas, and is available in three core trim levels: S, SE, and SEL. However, this simple ladder becomes a complex matrix when crossed with package options of V6 engine, 4MOTION AWD, Technology Package, Premium Package, and R-Line design. The SEL Premium will be my focus.
The base engine is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that puts down 235 horsepower through an 8-speed automatic transmission. The V6 in this SEL Premium is a 3.6L narrow-angle NA engine with FSI direct fuel injection, coupled to 4MOTION with Active Control drive mode selection.
