The new Alfa Romeo Stelvio is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, delivering up to 280 horsepower through an 8-speed automatic transmission. Estimated mileage is 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, for a combined 24-mpg average. The powertrain is fairly quick with a responsive throttle that ramps up power smoothly. I truly enjoyed hearing the raspy sounding exhaust system.
