With the demeanour of a royal Princess-to-be, Kate Middleton stepped out from her chauffeured car and graciously smiled for the cameras upon arriving at the wedding of a friend of Prince William's, her fiance.
The BBC was on the spot, filming Ms. Middleton as she walked into the church grounds, and the chapel bells rang out for the happy couple, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and Louise Stourton in Aldborough, North Yorkshire.
Ms. Middleton, who turned 29 today, was greeted by Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice, and the royal entourage fell into step making their way to the church door.
She was wearing a black velvet outfit, complete with a matching black pillbox hat.
Prince William, 28, arrived a little later and joked as all the cameras focused on him. "It's not my wedding yet," he said.
Ms. Middleton is expected to spend her birthday privately with family and friends, royal officials said according to media reports.
