Jennifer Nettles, baby Magnus: Country music star Jennifer Nettles introduced her baby to fans on Mother’s Day for the first time through a photo and posting on her website.
Nettles and her husband, former model and entrepreneur Justin Miller, welcomed Magnus into the world on December 6, 2012. Nettles, half of the country singing duo Sugarland, has kept out of the spotlight since: “I have been giving myself the space to enjoy this most sacred, precious time,” she wrote.
But, she said, she is also a very proud mother and she wanted to introduce her baby to her fans.
She also described her time as a new mother: “I am reveling in, and hopefully gracefully fumbling through, this most beautiful, challenging, precious, sleep deprived time as a new mommy.”
Nettles hosted the CMA Country Christmas Special in 2012 and was worried the baby could arrive at any time. He was late, however, and she said she has learned Magnus is boss and she must work around his timing and plans.
The best advice has come from her mother, who doesn’t promise her methods will always work, acknowledging “this works sometimes.”
