Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, Paul Walker’s girlfriend, has been staying out of sight since Walker’s death on November 30.
While some people close to Walker have made public comments about his death and some of his last interactions--including his father, Paul Walker Sr.--Pilchard-Gosnell has not made any public comments.
The insight into her reaction to Walker’s death has come from several places:
-Barton Bruner, Jasmine’s uncle, who said that “she is broken up” by Walker’s death. “They had their ups and downs but they were together and looking to spend a bright future together,” he said shortly after Walker’s death. “This is horrible news and unexpected. Her mother is with her and she is comforting her.”
- Jim Torp, an engineer at Always Evolving, an auto shop and car company that Walker co-owned, who was with Pilchard-Gosnell when he received the news. ”When I told her what happened she fell, she collapsed,” he said.
-Pictures of her stopping by Walker’s home on December 3 after the death.
That hasn’t stopped all kinds of stories about her from coming out, many of which are commentaries wondering if she and Walker began dating too soon. Though they had been together for seven years, Pilchard-Gosnell was 16 when the pair began dating (Walker was 33).
Star Magazine reported several years ago that Walker wasn’t phased by the age difference.
“Paul is very happy,” a source said at the time. “Their age difference doesn’t scare him. He knows she’s the one.”
Star’s report that the pair were engaged turned out to be wrong, though.
Pilchard-Gosnell, now 23, is a student in California.
She may be following what Meadow Walker, Paul’s 15-year-old daughter, is doing as well--staying offline.
