A 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of Japan near Fukushima Prefecture on Monday, it was reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit 10 miles from Ishikawa and 112 miles from Tokyo.

The quake had a depth of around 3.6 miles, the agency said.

The newspaper said that there was no risk of a tsunami, according to the Japan News.
