Jackson Martinez might be making a switch to the English Premier League this summer.

Martinez, 27, currently plays for Porto, but he has recently pushed back his return to pre-season training with the Portuguese club, according to the Express

Although his delay with returning to pre-season training could be entirely unrelated to his wanting a move, the striker did express indecision recently about where he will play football.

“I do not know what will happen,” Martinez told La FM.

“I have a contract for two more years with Porto and I know there is interest from several clubs.”

Still Martinez claims that he has always “respected” his contracts.

“Only time will tell what will happen,” Martinez added.

The Colombian international attracted attention after a decent World Cup 2014 outing.

Also, in the 2013/2014 season, Martinez notched 23 goals for Porto in 40 appearances in all competitions, according to WhoScored.

Martinez’s performances have caught the eye of a number of EPL sides, such as Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

Of the three clubs, Martinez has spoken out most favorably about joining the Gunners.

“I cheered for Arsenal when I was a kid – I love their style of play,” said Martinez.

“It’s flowing and open with a lot of first touch passes.

“It would be suitable for a player like me.

“If I get a chance to play for a high level club like Arsenal I wouldn’t hesitate to accept it,” Martinez added.
