Indonesian students protested this week against what they said are lazy university lecturers, according to the Jakarta Post.

Dozens of students demonstrated at the Aceh Syiah Kuala University’s Elementary Teacher Education Faculty because they said that since August, a miniscule portion of their 30 teachers have regularly come to class to teach.

In the demonstration, students gave speeches about the woeful state of the university and some of the students called for a boycott of the institute.

“We cannot stand it anymore because lecturers are more concerned with attending teacher training sessions than teaching us, perhaps because they are aiming for higher wages,” protest leader Saiful Bahri said, according to the Post.

Fauzi Ali, the head of faculty at the school, said students should understand that teachers have to attend training sessions, adding that the situation would return to normal, according to the newspaper.
