Hurricane Rosa Heading for Baja California Weakens in Pacific

MEXICO CITYHurricane Rosa, headed for Baja California, weakened in the Pacific Ocean and was forecast to further wane in the coming days, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Sept. 28.

Rosa, with maximum sustained winds decreasing to almost 120 miles per hour (195 kph), was now a Category 3 storm, coming down a notch on the five-step Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.
