The Heroes of the Storm Technical Alpha Client gets an update and a new hero.

Blizzard released a 64-bit version of the game client for Windows 64-bit systems recently.

This new version allows the game to use available RAM beyond 4GB, which will cut down on “Out-of-Memory errors.”

A 64-bit version for Mac OS will be out in future, and Blizzard will continue to update the client.

Here’s how to download the 64-bit client:

“- Launch the Battle.net App and click the Battle.net icon in the top left corner of the app.

– Click “Settings” from the dropdown list, and then select “Game Settings” from the Settings menu.

– Next, find Heroes of the Storm on the Game Settings menu and uncheck the box labeled “Launch 32-bit client.”

– Finally, click “Done” in the lower right, and then launch Heroes of the Storm to begin using the 64-bit Technical Alpha client.

– To return to using the 32-bit version of the Heroes client, simply re-check the box labeled “Launch 32-bit client” in the Game Settings menu.”

The latest patch also brings another Hero to the game, Chen Stormstout, Legendary Brewmaster.

Check out his trailer below, and head over to his Hero Week blog for more information about this Blizzard character.

Currently, Kerrigan, Muradin, Tychus, Tyrael, Murky, Zagara, Rehgar, Brightwing, Li Li, and Chen are available to play.
