What will happen in the series finale of Glee?

The sixth and last season of Glee will take the show back to its beginnings in Lima, Ohio, and focus will be on the central characters.

Rachel Berry will be a key character in the finale.

According to a Fox press release, Lea Michele’s character will return to lead the New Directions at McKinley, after suffering “humiliating failure as a TV actress” in New York City, making her the new Mr. Schuester.

Also, Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss), Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), and Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) will all find “surprising new gigs in Ohio.”

Chris Colfer (Kurt), Jane Lynch (Sue), Matthew Morrison (Will), Kevin McHale (Artie), Amber Riley (Mercedes) and Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Beiste) will also feature as the main cast of the final season.

One of the original cast members, Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang), is not on the cast list, but it doesn’t mean that the door is shut for her to make an appearance some time in the series finale.

Naya Rivera (Sanatana Lopez), who is recently married, is set to make an appearance, but will not be a series regular.

Max Adler (Dave Karofsky) will return in a recurring role.

Glee Season 6 will consist of 13 episodes, and should premiere in January 2015.
