Rock Band 3 is a very special rhythm game. It encompasses everything that has been a huge success in previous Rock Band titles, while introducing new features and a stellar tracklist to deliver a package teeming with content. The difficulty settings make playing in a band accessible to everyone, while the new Pro Mode introduces extreme difficulties that are true to a real instrument experience.
The songs are as diverse as ever and provide you with a huge amount of variety as you play through the game. However, if the offline experience is not enough for you, then you can now take your band online and play with others across Xbox Live. Rock Band 3's one problem is the price, with the new peripherals costing upwards of $390 (£250). If you want to buy the entire set—ouch. That said, this is an A grade game that raises the bar for rhythm titles and never feels stale.
