Floyd Mayweather won’t fight 50 Cent at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, as that’s just hoax from a “satire” website. However, challenger Marcos Maidana proclaimed that his opponent should “fight like a man” in the upcoming bout.

The rematch will take place on September 13 in Las Vegas.

“I already know the mistakes Mayweather makes and I‘ll be ready to take advantage this time. I hope Mayweather will fight like a man and stand in front of me again. He says he wants to please the fans, so we’ll see,” Maidana told reporters this week.

“The times when he was able to get away is because I let him. This time, I won’t get tired and I'll force him to fight. Stop crying like a little [expletive] and fight.”

Maidana says that Mayweather was fighting off the ropes in the first fight because he put extreme pressure on Money.

“When I was able to pressure him, I did very well. When he moved is when I had problems. I think I forced him to fight and that’s the reason he fought that way. I don’t think he did it for the fans,” Maidana said,

“It’s very difficult to knock out Floyd because he runs, but I'll do my best to make it happen. This fight, I’m not going to respect him. I’m going to go after him and make him fight. There are things he does in there too. He should stop complaining. Come the 8th or 9th round, Mayweather is going to be so tired from punches, he won’t be able to defend anymore.”

Mayweather hasn’t directly responded but Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, said that he was amused by Maidana’s comments.

“Floyd is looking extremely sharp. His preparation is unbelievable. He’s extremely motivated for this fight. And I think a lot has to do with Floyd not paying attention to the critics but surprisingly, Maidana has been talking a lot of trash,” Ellerbe told Boxing Scene while smiling.

“So come September 13th, it’s going to be interesting. It’s going to be quite interesting because all that talking, Maidana’s got to fight.”

Ellerbe did say that he believes Maidana “is coming into this fight with a tremendous amount of confidence.”

“Coming off the Broner fight where he looked sensational, he’s coming into this Mayweather fight after he put on an outstanding performance,” he added.“ ”And he’s coming out of there saying things like ‘Floyd can’t punch’ and ‘Floyd was not all he thought he was going to be.’ So come September 13th, he’s gotta deal with Floyd.”
