Kids of all ages came to the historic harness track in Goshen, N.Y. to enjoy an afternoon of horse racing on Father’s Day, June 21.

Fathers escorted their children into the grandstand or to stroll by the track to get a closer look. Some youngsters who waited patiently in line before each race got a ride in the starting gate car.

Trotters and pacers, their trainers, owners, and drivers prepped in the stables as the crowd congregated in the stands. In one of the stables around the track, Quebec native Mattia Spano, 17, was excitedly anticipating his first race as driver of Celebrity Vicky, a trotter from Celebrity Farms, New York.

Trainer Paul Moore and owner Rosemarie Moore of Loch Sheldrake, New York, gave last minute grooming to Xactly Supple Too, a two-year-old trotter. No matter which horse and driver came in first, everyone was a winner, especially Dads, on a sunny afternoon.
